Hello Salesmsg! My name is Yana, and I'm from product department. Today, I'm going to tell you about our latest enhancement for intercom integration. Let's begin from our two-way contact syncing. Just to check this new feature, we need to go to our Salesmsg account, integrations page, find Intercom integration and go to the settings. In settings, we have a new section, contact syncing, and four different options here. To have a common sync, we need to specify Update or Create for each of the options. We can check how it works. Go to the Intercom, create a new contact, add phone number and save changes. Now we can be back to Salesmsg to check that our new contact was created there. Also, we can check what's going on when we change user first name is Salesmsg. As you can see, the name was changed both in Salesmsg and Intercom.
So right now we can switch to another cool feature we have for you from our Intercom enhancements. So it's custom fields. As you can see here in the Intercom, we have a Salesmsg options/fields. Let's check how it works. We can start a new conversation with our client. For example, just say hello. And we can be back to our client's profile. And now you can see that we've added inbox name and phone number automatically after we send a message to our new contact.
Now let's check our last cool feature for Intercom. This feature is named intercom timeline. So in Intercom we have a new section - Recent events. By default, this section is empty. To manage this field, we need to back to our Salesmsg account, go to settings, integrations, and find Intercom integration here. And as you can see, we have a new toggle - "Sent timeline event to intercom..." We need to turn on this toggle, and now we can check it. For example, let's back to Intercom and make an incoming call to our inbox from this contact number. So we've made an incoming call and just we need to update the page to see the results. Now, as you can see, we have recently events in this section. It will be the same for SMS, MMS, voicemails, and so on. You can collapse or expand accession to these details.
So it's all for today. Thank you for your attention. And see you next week!
