Hello Salesmsg! In this video, I would like to walk you through our Salesmsg - Twilio integration. Right now, I'm on my presentation screen and why I wanted to do that is because there is a set of prerequisites that need to be in place before you can connect your Salesmsg account to Twilio account.
So firstly, of course you have to have your own Twilio account or a subaccount that you want to connect. Second is, you need to have a net new Salesmsg account. And third is recommended to have Salesmsg Custom Plan. And to get a Salesmsg custom plan, you can talk to our Sales, negotiate the deal and have it ready before you start the connection. So with that with my demonstration, I would assume that you have all those three and I will proceed.
So in order to connect your net new account, you need to create it first and there's a special link which has a Twilio parameter inside. Here we have already input the email, so I would continue, and as I said this is a net new account. It would ask me to fill in the information right as I would do for any other account. And I would come back to you right after this step when I enter my credit card information.
So I'm back right after the step where I filled in my account information and my credit card. And now I would need to fill in Salesmsg account Sid and Twilio token in order to connect my net new Salesmsg account and my Twilio account. Here I go into Twilio console and I have prepared an account that I can create. Let's copy the Sid and the token and see what happens. My accounts are now connected, and I am redirected to an assigned number. Numbers page: here we can see that I have one, an assigned number and if we look into this number in Twilio console you can see that this number right now is set up to use demo webhooks and the second number is used for Salesmsg webhooks. What I'm trying to show here is that as soon as you assign a number to an inbox inside Salesmsg, we change the webhooks, but we don't do anything upon connection. If you have multiple numbers in your Twilio account, you can safely connect Salesmsg to your Twilio account. Purchase a net new number or choose one of the testing numbers that you have assigned it through the unassigned tab and use it for testing, and then after everything is said and done, and you're satisfied with the quality of the service, we can go ahead and take your existing numbers and use them through Salesmsg. So how do I assign a number, we click assign inbox, choose our existing inbox or create a new one, and we do this as you can see. We now have two numbers assigned to our Twilio demo inbox and if we go back to Twilio console and refresh the page. You will see that both numbers are now configured to use Salesmsg.
What are the features that are available for such Twilio connected account?! Essentially everything you can do on a regular Salesmsg account. You can do starts of course with our net new conversation and go on for the whole list of features: scheduled messages, broadcasting, ringless voicemail, triggers and keywords. And also a set of Integrations that we provide to every user: for example, if you're using HubSpot or Salesforce, you can connect your Salesmsg account with your HubSpot account and use HubSpot workflows or Salesforce automation to send messages. Contact sync and automations are also available for keep Pipedrive and Intercom.
That's it, and happy texting with our new Salesmsg integration!
